INDUSTRIAL PARK

A practical industrial setting for agricultural processing

AfriGo Agro Industrial Park is the central and sole project within the AfriGo platform. Its purpose is to bring together the physical facilities and supporting arrangements required by businesses that turn agricultural inputs into products for commercial use.

The intended park model considers processing, storage, utilities and movement of goods as connected requirements. Each facility must have a clear user, an appropriate technical specification and a workable basis for operation.

Intended facility areas

Processing premises

Space and building requirements suited to the selected activities, including production layout, equipment interfaces, hygiene arrangements and safe movement of people and materials.

Storage and handling

Appropriate receiving, holding and dispatch arrangements, with attention to stock condition, segregation, inventory records and loading requirements.

Product assurance

Space and procedures for sampling, inspection and quality records. The need for on-site testing or access to external laboratories will depend on the products and applicable requirements.

Utilities and common services

Planning for power, water, access, drainage, waste handling, security and maintenance, with clear service responsibilities and cost allocation.

Temperature management

Assessment of temperature-controlled handling or storage only where the selected products and commercial demand justify the required infrastructure and operating cost.

The final facility mix, specifications and availability will be confirmed through the project’s development process. This description is not a schedule of commissioned assets or services available for booking.

Candidate processing activities

The park’s earlier concept identified cassava, cocoa and sesame. These remain candidate value chains for assessment, rather than a statement that processing lines have been installed or operators appointed.

Cassava-related activity would require a clear product specification, an appropriate sourcing area and careful planning of intake timing, water use, residues and effluent.

Cocoa-related activity would require the proposed processing depth to be defined, together with input quality, equipment requirements, product handling and the needs of intended customers.

Sesame-related activity would require particular attention to incoming material, cleaning or sorting requirements, contamination controls and the specifications governing the intended product.

Selection and sequencing will depend on the technical and commercial case for each activity. Other proposals may be assessed where they fit the park’s approved scope and operating conditions.

Prospective occupiers and operating partners

We welcome discussions with businesses that can explain their production model, management capability and facility requirements. Relevant participants may include processors, packaging businesses, storage operators and industrial service providers.

An anchor occupier is a business whose proposed activity materially influences the scale or configuration of a development phase. Anchor discussions must address the occupier’s own readiness, investment responsibilities and route to operation. No signed anchor commitment is implied by this website.

SUPPLY & CUSTOMER

Supply and customer requirements

A proposed processing activity should have a credible basis for obtaining suitable inputs and selling its output. This requires more than a statement of market size. It requires attention to specifications, volumes, seasonality, transport, payment terms and the responsibilities of each counterparty.

AfriGo’s role is to understand how these relationships affect the park’s infrastructure and operating needs. Supply and purchase arrangements remain subject to separate commercial assessment and agreement.

Site suitability and access

The project’s site assessment must connect industrial requirements to practical access, utility connections, environmental conditions and the movement of goods. The appropriate location is one that supports the full operating case.

Prospective participants may request the latest verified site information through the project materials route. Any site visit must be arranged in advance with the responsible project team.

Delivery in defined phases

The intended sequence is to establish the project basis, develop a deliverable first phase, commission the agreed facilities and assess subsequent expansion. Phase boundaries should reflect practical operation: a processing building without its required utilities or access is not a complete operating proposition.

Dates, capacities and availability will be communicated when they have an approved basis. Expansion will be assessed against demand, funding and the infrastructure needed to support it.

What participation could involve

Prospective occupiers can describe space, equipment and service requirements. Specialist operators can propose a defined facility-management role. Suppliers and buyers can explain relevant commercial needs. Infrastructure partners can bring a delivery or service capability for assessment.

Each enquiry begins a discussion. Allocation of premises, appointment of an operator and commencement of service require the relevant agreements and readiness conditions.

Questions about the park

Is space currently available?

Use the Operating Interest form to describe your requirements and request the latest availability information. The website does not confirm a unit, plot, price or occupation date.

No. Product sales require a suitable buyer and an agreed commercial contract. The park’s development approach considers market requirements but does not guarantee offtake.

No. An enquiry does not confer a regulatory permission, tax treatment or right to operate. Any relevant requirements must be addressed through the appropriate process.

No. CoopX and AfriGo Trade (AfriGoOS) are under EmergX Capital UK ownership and management. The park is AfriGo’s sole retained portfolio within NCDF Group.
